What is organisational health and why does it matter?

Organisational health is the ability of a leadership team to be cohesive, clear, aligned, and accountable. It is the foundation that makes strategy, execution, and culture possible.

Most organisations do not fail because of a lack of intelligence or capability. They fail because of confusion. Confusion about priorities, about roles, about what they actually stand for. A healthy organisation is one where the leadership team is unified, the direction is clear, and people know what is expected of them and why it matters.

How do I fix a dysfunctional leadership team?

Start with honesty. Most leadership team dysfunction comes from one of a few root causes: absence of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability, or inattention to results. These are Patrick Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions, and they are worth naming.

How long does it take to build a healthy leadership team?

Longer than most people want to hear. Real change in how a leadership team operates takes at least 12 months of consistent work. You are not just changing what people do. You are changing how they think, how they communicate, and what they trust each other with.

That is why the Leadership Health Journey is a 24-month commitment. The first year builds the foundation. The second year embeds it. Organisations that try to do this in a single offsite almost always end up having the same conversations six months later.

Can we just do a separate session for my team?

Yes. Tracey runs one-off workshops and strategy sessions for teams and it can be a genuinely useful starting point.

But here is the honest answer: a single session will not create lasting change. Real transformation takes time because you are not just giving people new information. You are helping them build new patterns, both in themselves and in how they relate to each other. That takes repetition, reflection, and accountability over time.

If a one-off session is where you are starting, that is fine. Just go in knowing it is a beginning, not a solution.
